About Us

vermont-gastroenterology-our-practiceVermont Gastroenterology offers a comprehensive range of preventive, diagnostic, and therapeutic services. Our physicians are Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology.

We have made quality patient care our highest priority – our mission is to exceed expectations,  and to provide the best, timely care to our patients, and state-of-the-art consultative services to our referring providers.

The detection and diagnosis of gastrointestinal disorders has been made easier with the use of endoscopy. This minimally invasive procedure allows a gastroenterologist to make a comprehensive examination inside the digestive system without the need for surgery. The same physician also interprets the findings and makes appropriate recommendations. We also provide open access endoscopy services – if your personal health care provider feels that you need an endoscopic procedure, we can do it without a pre- procedure office visit with us.

At our Colchester clinic we offer lactose tolerance testing (for milk intolerance), H. pylori testing (for an infection that can cause ulcers) and minimally invasive procedures such as capsule endoscopy (a swallowed camera that can take pictures of the small intestine).

Most endoscopic procedures are performed at the University of Vermont Medical Center. These include upper endoscopy, colonoscopy, endoscopic ultrasonography, and ERCP.
